Please know that we are committed to following the guidelines of CMS, the CDC, and our state officials in order to keep our everyone at our facility as safe as possible.

Updated Visitation Highlights:

  • WGC will be open for visitation at all times for all residents. Appointments are no longer required.
  • There are no longer restrictions on the number of visitors, and indoor visitation is allowed at all times. Frequency and length of visits are no longer restricted.
  • All visitors must wear PPE including a mask. All visitors must still be screened for COVID-19 upon entering the building. Visitors who have a positive viral test for COVID-19 or have symptoms of COVID-19 should not enter the facility.
  • All visitors should use proper hand hygiene and social distance.
  • Compassionate care visits remain available 24/7.

Definitions:

Census – This number includes all residents who are currently under our care.

Positive – This is the total number of confirmed COVID-19 test results. Residents and employees are removed from this total if follow-up COVID-19 testing produces negative results.

New Onset of Respiratory Symptoms Within the Last 72 Hours – In addition to reporting confirmed COVID-19 cases, we are required to inform residents and their representatives where there are three or more residents or staff with new onset of respiratory symptoms occurring within 72 hours of each other.

Pending – This number includes residents and employees with symptoms who are currently being tested for COVID-19 whose results we are currently outstanding. Asymptomatic residents and employees who are being tested because they have been out of our facilities for an extended time or who may have come into contact with somebody who tested positive for COVID-19 are not included.

It is as important as ever that you understand both how we keep our facility safe and what you can do to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please see above for visitation details.

Facility Prevention Efforts:

Visitor Screening: Al visitors are screened for COVID-19 symptoms upon entering the facility, including temperature checks. Visitors must also use PPE while in the facility, practice physical distancing, and use proper hand hygiene.

PPE Supplies: We continue to prioritize access to bulk supplies of PPE and sanitation products to aid in the control of infectious disease.

Staff Training:  Our staff has been given special training with respect to best practices for disease prevention.

Alternative Visitation Options: We offer numerous ways of spending time with your loved one such as phone and video calls.

COVID-19 Detection and Testing: All employees are screened at the beginning of each shift for COVID-19 symptoms, including temperature checks and all employees must use proper PPE while in the facility. Furthermore, we screen residents daily for COVID-19 symptoms and proactively test residents showing symptoms based on CDC criteria.

What You Can Do to Help:

DO wash your hands regularly and practice good general hygiene.

DO continue to wear a protective mask when out in public.

DO continue to social distance and avoid places with large crowds.

DO self-quarantine if experiencing symptoms such as fever and cough.
