Serra Village Retirement Community: Committed to Safety

COVID-19 Safety Plan

Unfortunately, due to being in Phase Red, there is no visitation at this time. We are hopeful, however, that with diligence we can eventually allow visitation again. It is as important as ever that you understand both how we keep our facility safe and what you can do to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Facility Prevention Efforts:

Restrict Visitor Access: It is with heavy hearts that we must discontinue visitation until we are no longer in Phase Red. This is necessary for the continued safety of all our residents and staff.

PPE Supplies: We continue to prioritize access to bulk supplies of PPE and sanitation products to aid in the control of infectious disease.

Staff Training:  Our staff has been given special training with respect to best practices for disease prevention.

Alternative Visitation Options: We offer numerous ways of spending time with your loved one such as phone and video calls.

COVID-19 Detection and Testing: All employees are screened at the beginning of each shift for COVID-19 symptoms, including temperature checks and all employees must use proper PPE while in the facility. Furthermore, we screen residents daily for COVID-19 symptoms and proactively test residents showing symptoms based on CDC criteria.

What You Can Do to Help:

DO wash your hands regularly and practice good general hygiene.

DO continue to wear a protective mask when out in public.

DO continue to social distance and avoid places with large crowds.

DO self-quarantine if experiencing symptoms such as fever and cough.

If you have any questions about how our facility keeps our residents and staff safe or if you have questions about visitation or about best practices for reducing the spread of infectious disease, please reach out!
